Mrs. Kelley’s Class

Welcome Miss Skiles!

January 12, 2010 · No Comments

Hi!

I’m so excited to be joining Mrs. Kelley’s class for the next 12 weeks! I’ve been looking forward to my student teaching for what seems like forever now and I just couldn’t be happier that it’s here.

Just to tell you a little bit about me, I graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in History and another in Religious Studies in 2004. I then went on to complete graduate work in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. When I returned home to Austin, I spent some time working in advertising. I really enjoyed it but it wasn’t quite for me. I had always enjoyed working with children and after moving up here to Seattle and doing some substitute work, I decided teaching was for me.

I’m so excited to be working with your children. It’s a wonderful class and I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can from Mrs. Kelley.

Please let me know if you’d like to know anything more about me and I look forward to meeting you all!

Great News!

November 21, 2009 · 5 Comments

I finally got my scores and I am officially a National Board Certified Teacher!! It is the most rigorous program I have ever done in my teaching career. All of my hard work paid off! I would like to thank all those who supported me during this process, especially my class from last year. Thanks for allowing me to record some of our lessons together and use some of your work to analyze. Yay!
